DeHaas Builders is proud of its 15 year reputation as Central Pennsylvania’s premiere full service custom home builder.

We are committed to our profession and the people who come to trust us.

DeHaas Builders was established by Philip A. DeHaas in 1991 with these principles in mind. For Phil, construction is a Family Matter. He is a fifth generation builder with DeHaas family roots in Central Pennsylvania that date back to the 1700’s.

Phil has focused on building a business that serves many purposes.

The DeHaas Builders Team includes E. Philip DeHaas, Phil’s Dad, who joined the company in 1993. He has worked over 50 years in the residential and commercial building business. He brings a world of experiences and knowledge to each project completed.

Other Members of Our Team include: Rich Bitner, a seasoned Production Superintendent who manages the early stages of the home construction; Rob Welch, our Finishes Superintendent; Jeremy Lucas, Head of Purchasing and Estimating Management, Michele Komula, Office Assistant focusing on Marketing and Web Site Management; Adam Coble, Lead Trim Carpenter; Josh Zetner, Trim Carpenter who assists in estimating; Lauren Hopkins, Sales Associate.

The entire Team has been built on the Belief of Developing the Right People for the Right Job. Each Team member takes responsibility for a specific part of our process.

Accountability has been a part of our beliefs from day one.

Our Homes have continuously improved in their design and the materials used. Each home is reviewed and changed when necessary. New plans are always being searched for the ultimate floor plan and appeal.

Through the early years homes were built on scattered sites throughout the area. Over time DeHaas Builders has created and developed neighborhoods of its own in outstanding locations.

DeHaas Builders has grown confidently and securely…ensuring long term success. When changes need to be made in any area of our business we make them.

Historically we have done well in local Home Shows and Parade of Homes Events. Rarely has a year gone by without one or more of our homes being selected as an award winner. Most recently our Avalon Model in Stearns Crossing was voted “The Peoples Choice” for the 2005 Builders Association of Central PA Parade of Homes Tour. Visiting the model is a trip worth making.

We have worked hard over the years to establish “A Good Name for Ourselves.” Today, the hard work continues. We are always working toward the goal of being “the best that we can be.”
